After a challenging 2024, Ireland's electric vehicle market is experiencing a significant resurgence in 2025. EV registrations have increased by 25.8% year-to-date, totalling 9,978 units and capturing 15% of the new car market . This rebound is attributed to several factors, including improved consumer confidence, expanded model availability, and the continued supportive government incentives.

Vehicle manufacturers have introduced a wider range of EV models, catering to diverse consumer preferences. Notable entries include the Volvo EX30, Audi Q6 e-tron, and Xpeng G6, offering various options in terms of size, range, and price.
