The New KRONE MX Loading Wagon Raises the Bar in Mid-RangeClass

New MX Generation Brings Proven KRONE Technology to More Farms
With the new MX generation, KRONE is introducing a loading and forage wagon that
has been completely redesigned from the previous model. The new MX uses
KRONE OptiGrass system to deliver high-quality forage in a lighter, easier-to-pull
machine. The result is a versatile wagon that is well suited to Irish dairy, beef and
mixed farms where high-quality silage is a priority. It is well suited to hilly ground,
smaller fields and farms with restricted access. It is designed to require less power
while providing smooth crop flow and consistent chop quality.
Models to Suit Different Farm Sizes
The new MX range is available with capacities from 30m³ to 38m³ and has been
developed with efficiency in mind. A new lightweight design makes the MX around
one tonne lighter than the previous model. This can reduce fuel use, minimise soil
compaction and improve transport performance.
The MX 310 offers up to 30m³ capacity and a lower overall height of approximately
3.4m, making it ideal for farms with low sheds or those operating on steeper ground.
The MX 340 sits in the middle of the range with up to 34m³ capacity, while the MX
380 offers up to 38m³ capacity for farmers looking to maximise output.
EasyFlow Pick-Up and OptiGrass Chopping System
The new MX is equipped with a wider EasyFlow pick-up, offering a 2.02m working
width for efficient crop intake. Its new hydraulic drive allows operators to adjust pick-
up speed from the tractor cab to suit different crop conditions. The pick-up follows
ground contours closely to reduce crop losses and protect the sward. A major
highlight of the new MX is the OptiGrass chopping system. Previously only available
on KRONEs larger RX and ZX wagons, the OptiGrass system is now fitted to the
MX range. A large 760mm rotor and SplitCut knife system help deliver a clean, even
chop.
Customers can choose between the OptiGrass 37 system with 39 knives and a
theoretical chop length of 37mm, or the OptiGrass 28 system with 52 knives and a
theoretical chop length of 28mm. Both options are designed to provide excellent
forage quality, smooth crop flow and low power requirements.
Improved Design and Efficient Drive System
The scraper floor has also been redesigned. The chain tensioner is now located at
the rear of the wagon, making maintenance easier. This also allows the floor chains
to run closer to the rotor, helping ensure complete and efficient unloading of the load.
For power transmission, KRONE uses its PowerBelt belt-drive system, designed for
tractors from 130hp to 250hp. The system is rated up to 2,000Nm and features
adjustable rotor speeds, allowing operators to match performance to crop conditions
while ensuring smooth operation and reduced wear.
Comfort and Easy Operation
The MX is available with either a combined or hydraulic suspension system and can
be fitted with large 22.5-inch or 26.5-inch tyres for improved flotation and reduced
ground pressure.
An articulated drawbar, standard self-steering axle and optional hydraulic forced
steering provide excellent manoeuvrability both in the field and on the road.
Operation is made simple through KRONE's latest ISOBUS control system, which
features a redesigned user interface and configurable automatic functions. Operators
can quickly access key controls and tailor settings to suit their harvesting operation.
Built for Modern Grassland Farming
Following the success of the RX and ZX ranges, KRONE has continued its focus on
forage quality, performance and efficiency with the new MX. Combining low weight,
low draft requirements and proven chopping technology, the MX is an ideal choice
for Irish farmers looking for a versatile and efficient loading wagon capable of
performing in a wide range of grassland conditions.
