Volkswagen Group Ireland & AA Ireland Announce Partnership

Volkswagen Group Ireland and the AA Ireland have announced a partnership that will see two of the most recognisable automotive brands in the country coming together for Roadside Support and Mobility provision. Under the partnership, the AA Ireland will provide Roadside Support and Mobility to customers of all six Volkswagen Group brands, including Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, CUPRA, SEAT, Škoda, and VW Commercial Vehicles. In addition to covering new cars, up to two years’ free Roadside Assistance will be given to all Volkswagen Group Approved Used Cars purchased from an approved retailer. Meanwhile, Volkswagen Group vehicles serviced at Volkswagen Group Authorised Service Centres come with SARA (Service Activated Roadside Assist) – 1 years’ free roadside assistance.

This new partnership, which was struck following a competitive tender process run by Volkswagen Group Procurement, gives peace of mind to the owners of more than 250,000 Volkswagen Group vehicles nationwide. Volkswagen Group is the leading provider of passenger vehicles in Ireland with a combined 27% market share. It sells a broad range of passenger and commercial vehicles, including Ireland’s all-time, best-selling battery electric vehicle, the Volkswagen ID.4, AA Best Large Family Car of 2023, the Škoda Superb, World Performance Car winner, the Audi e-tron GT, CUPRA’s best-selling Formentor, the dashing SEAT Arona and 2023 Irish Car of the Year winner, the Volkswagen ID. The AA Ireland has been at the roadside for more than a century in Ireland, providing support and keeping Ireland on the move. Although famous for its yellow vans and Breakdown Rescue, it also has a burgeoning Car, Home and Travel Insurance business.
