KRONE completes the BiG Pack Generation 6 range

KRONE has completed its sixth-generation BiG Pack large square baler lineup with
the launch of the new BiG Pack Plus and the redesigned BiG Pack Pro. The Plus
model is aimed at operators seeking reliable, cost-effective baling, while the Pro is
built for high-output professional users who require maximum performance, comfort
and flexibility.
One platform, two distinct performance profiles
With its sixth BiG Pack generation, KRONE is consistently focusing
on standardised component groups, interfaces and control concepts. The Plus and
Pro models share numerous components – including pick-up technology, knotter
systems, user interfaces and a wide range of service, accessory and retrofit
solutions. Additional features such as moisture measurement, work lights and silage
additive systems are also standardised across the range. This approach simplifies
machine selection, servicing and spare parts supply, while maintaining clear
differences between the Plus and Pro models to suit different customer needs.
BiG Pack Plus: practical, reliable and cost-effective
The BiG Pack Plus range, which includes the BP 1270 (XC/VC), BP 1290 (XC) and
BP HDP 1290 (XC), is designed for farmers and contractors looking for dependable
performance at an attractive price point. The Plus models incorporate many of the
key innovations introduced with Generation 6, including the new Liebherr main
gearbox, the durable and easy-to-maintain EasyFlow pick-up, and improved
hydraulic and electrical routing for easier servicing and reduced build-up of dirt.
For customers requiring chopping capability, the machines can be equipped with the
XCut cutting unit with 26 blades and blade group control or, on the BiG Pack 1270
Plus, the VariCut cutting unit with 51 blades. This allows the machine to be adapted
to different operating requirements.
The proven mechanical Variable Filling System (VFS) delivers consistent bale
formation and reliable operation, while a number of components have been further
optimised to increase durability and help reduce operating costs. Operational
reliability is enhanced by KRONE’s PowerClean Plus system, which helps keep the
knotter area and upper bale chamber clean, reducing contamination and minimising
downtime. Sharing software, accessories and retrofit options with other Generation 6
models also simplifies maintenance, training and parts availability, making the BiG
Pack Plus an ideal choice for customers seeking straightforward technology and
strong value for money.
BiG Pack Pro: built for maximum performance and automation
The BiG Pack Pro range, comprising the BP 1270 (VC), BP 1290 (VC) and BP HDP
1290 (VC), is designed for contractors and professional operators who demand
maximum output, comfort and flexibility. Built for high bale volumes and challenging
crop conditions, the Pro delivers high performance while minimising wear and
downtime.
At the heart of the machine is a new and more powerful job computer, an upgraded
user interface and expanded control options. Operators can adjust key functions,
including packer settings, the cutting system, residual bale ejector and twine box
functions, directly from the cab.
A robust driveline combines the new Liebherr main gearbox with a strengthened
clutch system. On HDP models, further upgrades to the bale chamber, plunger and
cylinder components help maintain consistently high bale density, even in dry and
demanding conditions.
Just like the BiG Pack Pro, the Plus variant is also fitted as standard with the tried-
and-tested V-knotter which operates very reliably even at high bale densities and,
moreover, produces absolutely no twine scraps.
The PowerClean Plus/Pro uses positive pressure to clean the knotting area very
effectively, thereby significantly reducing wear and tear and increasing the machine’s
productivity.
The HDP machines in the Plus and Pro models feature a redesigned bale channel
with reinforced components which are wear-resistant and designed for the toughest
applications.
